Terrific piece of kit!,
What a marvellous piece of kit! You get two iPod/iPhone docking stations so you and your partner can charge your iPods and/or phones simultaneously. The sound quality is superb with plenty of power output from the 5w x 2 jauri speakers and we now listen to music far more in the bedroom than we ever did before. It’s also very easy to set up – as soon as you dock a phone/ipod the radio timesynchs and that’s it! There is also a useful daylight saving time switch that automatically adjusts the time when necessary. The dimmer has 10 settings including completely off so if you cannot sleep without complete darkness you’re fine. However, the display on the lowest setting with blue backlight is fine for me and I usually like to sleep with total blackout if I can. There are two alarms and you can set either to wake you up to your ipod, buzzer or radio and setting channels is very straightforward. The remote control handset is a bit small and it takes a few uses to familiarize yourself but you can control all important functions – including snooze – from the comfort of your bed. You can store the handset by attaching it magnetically to the back of the unit so it doesn’t get mislaid! In short – highly recommended.
Oh, and it looks great – stylish not tacky!

|Excellent piece of kit,
Purchased one of these as a treat to myself and couldn’t be happier.
Very easy to get up and running and a great user interface. Sound quality is v.good for the price and it looks very stylish on my bedside table.
Also, if you have the FOC RadioBox app from the Apple store you can listen to any radio station from around the world through the speakers.
Very impressed with this bit of kit!

|Very Cool Kit!,
This beautiful looking dual ipod charging alarm clock radio is now taking pride of place by my bedside. The huge cool blue display screams to be looked at with pride and is perfect for people that always have to reach for their glasses! sadly the remote buttons aren’t and will have to be comitted to memory as they are impossible to see in dim light.
You can set 2 alarms, they can both activate the left or right hand ipod/phone, (only 1 iphone is supported, on RHS) the radio or the buzzer. The buzzer emits a strange machine gunny noise but it is plenty loud enough to wake a deep sleeper. The unit has a lovely big snooze button that is big enough to whack with an outstretched arm with your eyes shut, great! This button also controls the 11 brightness settings for the display. This includes display off for no light at night people.
The time and date are set automatically from your ipod, both are displayed permanently.
The alarm and FM only radio (8 presets, autoscan or manual tuning, sadly no AM or DAB) are easy to set after a quick read of the instructions. I’ve reset both alarms without having to refer back to them, the method is quite straightforward.
The autoscan radio picked up staions in my area very well, but it has no socket for an external ariel in weak areas. For the money speaker quality is excellent, I was genuinley shocked at the rich sound from all sources, Lovely job. Pretty cool switch on unit and remote to play from left or right ipod. Listen to your playlist, then switch to your partners playlist at a press of a button (can anyone use multiple ipods on itunes? seems a right old can of worms to me!)
You can set the volume of the sleep setting independently i.e. quiet for sleep loud for alarm.
Bad points; All settings are controlled by 2 scroll wheels, i would have liked these ridged for more grip as they need to be spun around a lot to alter alarm times and manual radio tuning, found them a bit tricky to gat hold of.
Only FM Radio, should you only buy radios with DAB now to prepare for the great switch off? your choice! I’ve got the Radiobox app. and via my wireless connection I can listen to virtually any staion worldwide so I have overcome this easily. Was this what Iluv intended? anyway it works fine. No battery back up for power cuts.
No weekend off button for alarm, a very useful feature on my old Roberts radio. Remote far to small, difficult to see function of buttons.
Good points; Clear display, lovely gloss black finish, easy to set, 2 alarms can set any source and a loud buzzer, big snooze button.Charges 2 ipods or 1 iphone and ipod (I believe it will charge 2 iphones but you get the inevitable this device is not supported pop up) Sounds great, I actually use it as a radio to listen to in the day when I’m upstairs, it’s that good. Illuminated power button, making it easy to turn on in the dark. Remote gives limited control of ipod/phone, shuffle, random play etc. and will switch from left to right device. I like this! Good value for money. Highly recommended.
P.S. Since buying this unit I have lost my ipod, I think in Salisbury Hospital, so if you are the proud new owner of a 32 GB touch with leather case with all my music collection, I hope it breaks! Gotta save for a 64 GB touch now to keep my iphone company, such is life!
